Bookings & Payments

How far in advance can I book?
Up to twelve months ahead. Same-day bookings are accepted when availability allows — call us if the site shows a vehicle as unavailable for today and you want it anyway.
How long is the minimum rental?
24 hours for the standard fleet. 48 hours for Premium and Performance. Longer rentals unlock weekly and monthly rates.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. The rental fee can be paid by card or bank transfer. The security deposit must be held on a credit card in the primary driver’s name. We don’t accept cash, debit cards, or prepaid cards for the deposit.
Do you charge a booking fee?
No. The price you see is the price you pay, plus any add-ons you select.
Can I book on behalf of someone else?
You can pay for the rental, but the named driver must be the person collecting the vehicle and the credit card on the deposit must be in their name. If you’d like to gift a Muchacha experience, get in touch!

The Vehicle & Handover

Where do I collect the vehicle?
From [Pickup] at [address], or by delivery. Delivery is included on rentals over [X days / $X total] within [the Perth metropolitan area]. Beyond that radius, delivery is quoted on request.
Is delivery available to Perth Airport?
Yes. Airport meet-and-greet is [$XX] flat. We meet you at the terminal, walk you through the vehicle in the kerbside zone, and you’re driving within 15 minutes.
What's included with every rental?
A fully detailed and serviced vehicle, comprehensive insurance with the standard excess, capped kilometres (varies by car) for the metropolitan area, support, and a full tank of fuel.
Is there a kilometre limit?
Each car has a specified distance inclusion. Long-distance trips can be pre-arranged with a flat-rate inclusion.
Do the vehicles come with a full tank of fuel?
Yes. Return the vehicle at the same fuel level you collected it at. If you return it with less, we’ll refuel it and charge you the cost of the fuel plus a $50 refuelling fee.
Can I have someone else collect the vehicle for me?
No. The named driver must be present at handover with their licence, ID, and credit card.
What happens at handover?
A short walkthrough — controls, safety features, anything specific to the vehicle. We document the existing condition together, photograph it, and you sign off. The whole process takes ten to fifteen minutes.

Insurance & Protection

Is insurance included?
Yes. Every Muchacha rental includes comprehensive insurance and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) coverage as required by WA law. CTP covers personal injury claims. Comprehensive covers damage to the vehicle and to others, subject to the standard excess.
What's the standard excess?
[$3,500] for the standard fleet. [$5,500] for Premium. [$7,500] for Performance. The excess is the maximum you’d pay out-of-pocket for damage, regardless of the repair cost.
Can I reduce the excess?
Yes. Our **Excess Reduction** add-on lowers the excess to [$500] for [$XX per day]. Our **Zero Excess** add-on removes it entirely for [$XX per day]. Both are selectable at checkout.
What does the insurance not cover?
Damage caused by drivers not named on the rental agreement. Damage from negligent or reckless driving, racing, or off-road use (unless on a vehicle authorised for it). Interior damage from spills, smoke, or pets. Tyres and rims damaged outside of normal road use. Driving under the influence, which voids all coverage and is referred to police.
Will my personal car insurance cover a Muchacha rental?
Sometimes. Some Australian comprehensive policies extend to rental vehicles. Check with your insurer before relying on it. Our coverage applies regardless.
Do I need travel insurance?
We don’t require it, but if you’re visiting from overseas it’s worth considering — particularly for liability cover beyond the vehicle.

Driving the Vehicle

Where can I drive?
Anywhere in Western Australia by default. Travel into other Australian states or territories is not possible.
Can I drive on unsealed roads?
On 4WDs and SUVs marked as 4WD-capable, yes. On all other vehicles, no — the insurance excludes damage from unsealed-road driving on standard road vehicles, and gravel chips on a flagship vehicle are an expensive lesson.
What about tolls and infringements?
Tolls are billed back to you at cost, plus a [$15] administration fee per toll. Speeding fines, parking tickets, and any other infringements issued during your rental are forwarded to you for payment, plus the same admin fee.
Can I smoke or vape in the vehicle?
No. A $500 cleaning fee applies to any vehicle returned smelling of smoke or vape, on top of any deep-clean cost.
Are pets allowed?
By prior arrangement, on selected vehicles, with a refundable [$500] cleaning bond. Service animals are always welcome at no extra charge.

Changes, Returns & Cancellations

Can I extend my rental?
Yes, subject to vehicle availability. Call us as soon as you know — extensions arranged before your scheduled return are easier than ones arranged after.
What if I return the vehicle late?
A grace period of one hour applies. After that, late returns are charged at 125% of the daily rate, pro-rated by the hour. If a late return prevents the next rental, we may pass on the cost of that disruption.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to [48 hours] before pick-up. Cancellations between 48 and 24 hours forfeit [50%] of the rental cost. Within 24 hours, the full rental cost is forfeited. Cancellations are credited back to the original payment method within five business days.
What happens if I damage the vehicle?
Stop, make sure everyone’s safe, take photos of the scene and any other vehicles involved, exchange details if another party is involved, and call us. We walk you through the next steps. The standard excess applies — or your reduced excess, if you added that at booking.
What if the vehicle breaks down?
Roadside support is included. Call the number on your rental agreement. We’ll send help, swap the vehicle if needed, and credit the lost time to your booking.

Events & Weddings

Can I rent a Muchacha vehicle for my wedding?
Yes. We offer wedding packages with extended hours, professional handover, and the option of chauffeur service. Get in touch directly — wedding bookings aren’t quoted through the standard booking flow.
Do you do photo and film hire?
Yes. Static and dynamic vehicle hire for productions, separate from regular rental. Email bookings@muchacha.com.au with your shoot dates and requirements.

Compliance & Legal

Are your rentals compliant with Western Australian transport law?
Yes. Every vehicle in the fleet is registered in WA, holds current CTP through the Insurance Commission of Western Australia, is comprehensively insured, and is maintained on a documented service schedule. Our rental agreement is governed by the laws of Western Australia.
What's CTP and is it included?
Compulsory Third Party insurance is required on every registered vehicle in WA and is included in the registration fee. It covers personal injury claims arising from a crash. It does not cover damage to vehicles or property — that’s what our comprehensive insurance is for. Both are included at no extra cost.
Can I see the rental agreement before booking?
Yes. The full agreement is available on request from bookings@muchacha.com.au before you book. You’ll also see and sign it at handover.
